Boulder Police Department Chief Herold has also recently identified the alleged shooter behind the atrocity that unfolded in Boulder, saying the suspect in custody is 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Al-Issa.
He’s been charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held at a local hospital due to a leg injury stemming from the shooting.
Officials say that the suspect will likely be moved to the Boulder County Jail at some point on March 23rd.
Investigators say that the alleged motive behind the shooting is unclear as of this time.
While the suspected shooter’s social media accounts have been taken down, some were able to get a glimpse and screenshots of his online postings before those social media accounts were deleted.

Manhattan prosecutors are investigating whether an attack on a 68-year-old Sri Lankan immigrant riding the subway last week was a hate crime, they said in court Monday.
The revelation came as Marc Mathieu, 36, appeared during a video arraignment on an assault charge after he allegedly “sucker punched” Narayange Bodhi aboard the 1 train at Manhattan’s Franklin Street station on Friday.

BOULDER, Colorado — Six people were killed during an active shooter incident at a King Soopers supermarket Monday in Boulder.
There was a massive police response with hundreds of police officers, Sheriff’s deputies and other first responders responding to the scene.
The location is at 3600 Table Mesa Drive.
Video posted online appeared to show victims on the ground before police arrived.

New Jersey residents likely will not see any new reopening announcements in the coming weeks as the state battles a surge in COVID-19 variants, Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday.
The governor, speaking on CNN, said any further reopenings or capacity increases are on pause in the Garden State because of the increase in virus variants.
New Jersey doubled the national average of new cases within the past week.
Current capacity limits, which rose to 50% for indoor dining on Friday, could stay this way for quite some time, Murphy said.

The 46th commander-in-chief revealed his plans after being asked if he was planning a trip to the crossing while speaking to reporters outside the White House Sunday.
