President Trump can sign all the executive orders he wants and slap 200% tariffs on China and every other country that past presidents sold us out to, but let’s be real—it’s all a big fat nothing burger without Congress stepping up! Everything Trump’s doing is about bringing industrial manufacturing back to the U.S., and I mean everything—from semiconductors and computer chips to bicycle tires, bounce houses, antibiotics, and even aspirin.

We’ve got to be 100% self-sufficient, period. For all you Democrat socialist Bernie Bros out there, think of self-sufficient like this: it’s your dream of living in a tiny house with solar panels and a garden up in the mountains of Northern California, totally off the grid. The whole point is to make sure this country can weather any global crisis because we don’t depend on anyone else for anything. Yeah, we can import stuff, but it should never dominate our own companies—ever.

Here’s the deal, though: all of Trump’s efforts mean squat if Congress doesn’t get off its lazy backside and pass some serious tax cuts AND I’m not just talking about making the old Trump tax cuts permanent—no, I mean MAJOR corporate tax cuts, slashing rates to under 10%! If we’re ever going to lure manufacturing back to the U.S., we’ve got to make it dirt cheap for companies to set up shop here.

Then there’s the regulations the most stupid and useless ones are the environmental regulations that drove factories to China, Taiwan, and Mexico in the first place. And while we’re at it, those regulation writers better start cracking down on the unions, too, because they’re another roadblock. The only way to bring American companies back from overseas is to make it not just “the patriotic thing to do” but a no-brainer economically—Congress has to make it so good that companies can’t afford to stay away.

But let’s not kid ourselves—Congress is dragging its feet, and that’s the real crime here. President Trump’s tariffs are just the beginning, a wake-up call to the world that we’re done being the global doormat. But without Congress passing the kind of legislation that makes America the best place to do business, we’re stuck spinning our wheels.

They need to slash taxes, kill the red tape, and tell the unions to take a hike, or we’ll never see those factories come home. Trump’s doing his part, but Congress? They’re sitting on their hands while the country’s future hangs in the balance. Get on the ball, people—make it happen, or we’re all screwed!
