To your body, there is no difference between the lead up to fear and excitement. The only difference is what you are thinking about during that time that frames your mind.
You are either wanting to do it or not. Then your brain flashes what you need to comply with your desires.
I was a bit of adrenaline junkie as a kid racing cars and motorcycles and the first time I thought of this concept it made a lot of sense to me.
I started to link things I felt nervous about to flow inducing moments where my body would feel the same way racing. After a few repetitions of the new thing I was nervous about, I would start to look forward to the situation.
The thing to remember, is the reaction in your body is still the same. It just how you interpret the signals and how you choose to react to them.
