Michael Savage famously once said that “liberalism is a mental disorder.” He even wrote a best selling book on the subject, and our own Howard Roark covered it earlier this year at the Deplorable Patriot:
Have you ever watched a clip on Twitter or some other social media platform from of a liberal white woman freaking out over something Donald Trump said or something she read on somewhere and thought to yourself, “This person is utterly insane.” Well, guess what? You were right and now we have proof.
First of all, I have no idea why it took so long to get to see the results of a Pew Research Center study released a year ago but I’m glad we finally have the chance. And folks I must say, I’m not at all surprised to discover over half of liberal white women have been diagnosed with a mental health condition.
Pew Research Center had conducted a study entitled Pew American Trends Panel: Wave 64, back in March of 2020. The study, which looked at white liberals, moderates, and conservatives, both male and female, found that conservatives were far less likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues than those who identified as either somewhat liberal or “very liberal.”
What’s more, (and this is the most obvious results discovered) white liberal women suffered the worst of all. White liberal women, ages 18-29, were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives.
Nearly half of self-identifying white liberals between the ages of 18 and 29 reported telling a doctor or a healthcare provider that they have a mental health condition. Only 20.9% of white conservatives in the same category reported as such.
So this should come as no surprise to anyone:
An annual [Gallup] poll of mental health found that the pandemic is taking its toll, but regular churchgoers are faring far better than Democrats, who rate their mental health very low.
The report found that only 34% of Americans rated their mental health as “excellent,” which is a 21-year-low for the report. It’s also about the same rate as a year ago.
It appears 2020 (the year of Covid lockdowns, Black Lives Matter riots, and Joe Biden’s election) was just too much for the mental health of some folks in America.
Those who regularly attended church reported the highest rate of good mental health. As a rule, these are not the same people who approved of the riots and voted for Biden. From the base they provide, American sanity is due to rebound.
One of the subgroups that reported the lowest levels of mental health, at 28%, was Democrats.
The 28% of Democrats who regard themselves as mentally healthy are so crazy that they don’t even know they’re crazy.
That number is pretty close to the 26% of Americans who still believe that Jussie Smollett was a victim of a hate crime, despite a court of law concluding it was fabricated by Smollett himself. And there is no way that number includes anyone who has ever voted Republican.
For many of us, none of this comes as a real shocker, I’ve been subscribing to this theory for years. It’s just nice to have the evidence to back up our beliefs.
