These people have a sick religion that impels them to do these horrible things. Their religion tells them they must tell you what they are going to do or are doing otherwise they will suffer the bad karma for their unimaginable evil deeds. They believe if they tell you then they are off the hook for bad karma to swing back on them. And thus these novels were created. The funny thing is they tell you in movies, stories and news stories making it entertainment or almost unbelievable.
