The 3 sun stars are actual sun-like stars near the Pleiades that the the ancients say or ancestors originated from in Taurus… follow the three stars of Orion’s Belt to find the pleiades area. Squatter man seems to be Orion man personified as a teacher.

In the old days maps always had the East at the top and was the most important of the cardinal directions for spiritual reasons and of course the Sun rises in the East . It also was facing the Orient and is the source of our use of the word for finding your direction on the first day of school for instance as in orientation day and also the root of our term disoriented .
