Have you ever noticed how big company’s like automobile manufacturers seem to be playing along with the leftist politics? I mean with all their idiotic pandering they can’t be serious. It sure seems that way to me.

Most of the time, this can be explained in terms of massive government subsidies, bailouts and tax breaks used as a way of establishing central control without actual legislation. There are also lesser reasons of course, like giving them a chance to virtue signal from deep inside their marketing department. For example, Volvo has announced that it will replace genuine leather with some kind of fake leather in order to save the planet:

Volvo said on Thursday that its vehicle range will go leather-free or ‘vegan-friendly’ by 2030, offering instead bio-based and recycled materials to a customer base that increasingly wants sustainably sourced products.

According to brain-dead liberal dogma, electric cars are better for the environment (despite evidence to the contrary). Consequently, Volvo proclaims that all its cars will be electric by 2030.

Volvo’s current all-electric C40 Recharge model is already leather-free, and the company is exploring using materials such as Nordico – made from forestry byproducts, recycled corks and plastic bottles – that head of design Page said has the same “softness and warmth” as leather.

And believe me, it’ll cost just as much as leather — if not much more.
