An Ohio mayor did not mince words calling for school board members and teachers to resign after students received a book of inappropriate writing prompts, which asked minors to engage in illegal behavior.

Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert, citing a judge’s confirmation during Monday’s school board meeting, accused the educators of “distributing essentially what is child pornography” in the Hudson High School Liberal Arts II writing class.

“So I’m going to give you a simple choice: either choose to resign from this board of education or you will be charged,” Shubert said.

Monica Havens, a former educator and the mom of a senior who received the “642 Things to Write About” book, shared some of the prompts from the book at the board meeting, Cleveland.com reports.

The book asks kids to “Write a sex scene you wouldn’t show your mom,” “Rewrite the sex scene from above into one that you’d let your mom read,” “Describe a time when you wanted to orgasm but couldn’t,” “Write an X-rated Disney scenario,” and “The first time you had sex.”

In addition to several sex-themed prompts, the material also prompts the reader to “Drink a beer. Write about the taste,” as well as “You’re a serial killer. What’s on your DVR and why?”

The mom said, “I can’t even wrap my brain around a teacher, I don’t care if it’s for college credit, these are minors.”

Parent Matthew Clapper, a lawyer, pointed out that asking minors to consume alcohol is illegal.

“It’s immediately evident that someone who instructs a minor to break the law is committing a crime themselves. I mean, that is contributing to the delinquency of a minor,” Clapper told FOX 8.

Hudson Schools Superintendent Phil Herman says the district was unaware of the inappropriate content in the journal until a parent brought it to their attention last Friday.

The high school issued an apology to parents Monday. Brian Wilch, the principal, told school board attendees they will do better reviewing and selecting resources for classes.
