I guarantee you that every regular NPR listener will tell you if asked that this is not happening. I swear to God I had the conversation with someone and they said it is all made up to make Biden look bad, everything at the border is in complete control. Needless to say I don’t talk politics with those people too often.

I saw a Facebook Fact Check that denied there was any problem at the border saying, “The borders are not open, everyone is being turned away.”

A former friend once assured me that Benghazi was just something the GOP cooked up to make Hillary look bad. They really do think that way.

Every little scurrilous rumor, no matter how unfounded or obviously fake, no matter how preposterous, MUST be believed and taken on faith if it’s about Trump or Republicans.

On the other hand, you can hit a lib over the head with tons of proof about something, and have it dismissed out of hand as “right wing conspiracy theory,” if it’s about Biden or Democrats.

The trend in this country is people are losing critical thinking skills.
