The media loves highlighting all of the “evil” that police officers do. So where are they when cops are out there saving lives?

ATHENS, AL – Two police officers from the Athens Police Department are being credited with helping save the lives of two individuals in separate incidents that occurred on back-to-back days in late February.
Here are the details regarding these two officers praised as heroes.
According to officials, the first incident occurred on February 26th, when both the Athens Police Department and Athens Fire and Rescue responded alongside Athens-Limestone Ambulance Service to a call about an unresponsive person near U.S. 31 and Interstate 65.
Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson stated that a man and his wife were headed down the interstate, when suddenly the man started having chest pains and passed out.
APD officers Mac McWhorter and William Newton had arrived on the scene of the incident, and the two reportedly administered CPR to the unresponsive man while awaiting for medical to arrive on the scene.

Former President Donald Trump predicted that Biden’s policies would force gas prices to increase because they target domestic oil production. In June 2018, President Trump passed the historic First Step Act, with bipartisan support—giving deserving prisoners a second chance at life.
According to the U.S. Sentencing Commission (USSC), more than 1,000 individuals incarcerated in federal prisons were granted sentence reductions in the first four months the First Step Act was signed into law.
Democrats have taken a different approach when it comes to helping prisoners. Instead of helping them by giving them a second chance at life, and giving them the tools they need to succeed in a life outside of prison, they’re fighting to give them a chance to vote inside prison—of course, they’re assuming they’ll vote for Democrats.
In the midst of Joe Biden’s basement campaign for President of the United States, his VP candidate, Senator Kamala Harris was busy on social media encouraging her 5.7 million followers on Twitter to send money to a fund that would bail violent BLM and Antifa criminals out of jail.
On March 2, Democrats in the House attempted to pass a bill that would give voting rights to people serving time in jail. Although 97 Democrats voted in favor of the bill, it failed in the House.
After the bill failed, the newly elected radical US Rep Cori Bush, who authored the bill, tweeted about how the bill was tied to “white supremacy.”
“The American people are probably wondering why Congress is wasting its time debating whether or not to grant convicted murderers additional rights,” said NRCC Spokesman Mike Berg. “The answer is because Nancy Pelosi and her socialist colleagues control the House of Representatives.”
As it turns out, Democrats don’t need the House to pass a bill to give criminals new and enhanced voting opportunities—Joe Biden can simply sign an executive order.

BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) — Boulder police said partiers at a massive CU street party Saturday night assaulted three officers with bricks and rocks and caused significant property damage.
Police spokesperson Dionne Waugh said detectives are reviewing a large amount of video evidence of the incidents with the goal “to charge and identify” individuals involved in the destruction.
One armored police vehicle sustained “heavy damage,” as did a fire truck, Waugh said.
In a statement released on Twitter, Boulder Police Chief Maris said detectives will “identify and arrest those responsible for this reprehensible and unacceptable behavior” and encouraged anyone with information to send it to police.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she backs an independent investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo amid mounting calls for him to step down after being accused by five women of sexual harassment.
“I think the allegations here are very serious and need to be taken seriously. And I do think that an impartial, thorough, independent investigation is merited and appropriate,” Whitmer, a Democrat, told host Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday.
But Tapper pressed her, saying she had been outspoken in the past and once said sexual harassment is “not a partisan issue and unacceptable.”
He asked if she watched the CBS interview with Charlotte Bennett, who said the embattled governor made unwanted advances toward her.
“I think that there are a lot of American women who have felt how she felt. And I think that that’s something that resonates and why we need to take this seriously and why there needs to be a full investigation. And whatever is appropriate in terms of accountability should follow,” Whitmer said about her fellow Democratic governor.
“And I think we — it wouldn’t help anyone for me to prejudge where this is headed. But I had the same gut-wrenching reaction that I’m sure that a lot of — that a lot of women in America did,” she continued.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Department of Public Safety launched Operation Lone Star on Saturday to focus on smuggling at the southern border of Texas, according to a release from the governor’s office.
Operation Lone Star will send law enforcement personnel and resources to “high threat areas” of the border “to deny Mexican Cartels and other smugglers the ability to move drugs and people into Texas,” the release says.
The decision comes after a February meeting with Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety Colonel Steve McCraw about security at the border and what a release said were COVID-19 health concerns. According to the Feb. 9 release, Abbott and McCraw discussed “a recent surge of immigrants at Texas’ southern border and noted that this influx is related to the Biden Administration’s reinstatement of the ‘catch and release’ policy.”
