“And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
My fellow Americans,
Many believe that this is where our fight began. The truth is, the fight never began here, and it never ended here. The struggle for freedom is as old as humanity itself. It is a cause carried forward by every generation willing to stand for truth, courage, and the future of mankind.
I am alive, and I stand before you today to say that the values we fought for are alive as well. Though many believed my story had ended, I am here to remind you that the cause of freedom endures, and so do those who dedicate their lives to it.
For decades, the world has been told a story. A story that closed a chapter in history. But some missions are greater than one man, greater than one moment, and greater than one lifetime. The ideals we fought for could never be buried, because ideas do not die. Freedom does not die. Hope does not die.
There were sacrifices made for this nation, sacrifices made for its people, and sacrifices made for the future of the world. Every step taken, every challenge endured, was driven by a belief that humanity deserves something better than fear, division, and endless conflict.
Today, I ask you not to look backward with sorrow, but forward with purpose. The mission has always been the same: to defend liberty, to protect the innocent, and to leave future generations a world more just, more prosperous, and more free than the one we inherited.
The road has been long. The battles have been many. Yet through every storm, the spirit of free men and women has endured. That spirit is stronger than any obstacle, stronger than any force that seeks to divide us, and stronger than any darkness that stands in its way.
Our work is not finished. It never was. But together, with faith in one another and faith in the future, we will continue the journey.
For freedom.
For our nation.
For humanity.
And for the generations yet to come.
