🔴 Michael Ruppert, an LAPD narcotics officer approached by the CIA in the late 1970s “to become involved in protecting agency drug operations,” listed three CIA involving the peddling of drugs into American communities at a 1996 Los Angeles town hall meeting on CIA drug trafficking activities.
🔴 Ruppert urged Clinton CIA director John Deutch to investigate, and declassify any info on the agency’s illegal activities. Deutch’s nonchalant response? – If you have information about CIA drug running, contact the LAPD.
🔴 The 1996 town hall was made possible thanks to the work of investigative reporter Gary Webb, who detailed CIA complicity in the 80s crack cocaine epidemic in America’s inner cities, and who was found dead in his home in 2004, shot twice in the head. His death was ruled a suicide.
🔴 Ruppert, who spent decades investigating CIA criminal activities, political corruption and 9/11, was found dead in his home in April 2014, shot in the head. His death was also ruled a suicide.
