The Civil Guard has arrested a man for attempting to slit his wife’s throat with a knife in Roquetas de Mar (Almería). The 31-year-old victim was registered in the local alert system due to a previous report. Both the man and the woman are of Moroccan origin. The attacker is accused of attempted murder. The incident occurred this Saturday shortly before 9:05 a.m., when emergency services received a call alerting them that a man was in a public street with a knife and had just slashed his wife’s throat.

Medical personnel, Civil Guard, and local police were dispatched to the scene. Officers found the victim with an extremely serious neck wound that left her trachea visible, according to La Voz de Almería . She had a 10-centimeter wound on her throat. After being stabilized at the scene, she was admitted to the ICU of Torrecárdenas University Hospital. She was discharged on Sunday morning.

Early Saturday morning in Madrid, the Spanish National Police arrested a 17-year-old Moroccan minor accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. The suspect resides in the Hortaleza reception center for foreign minors. The sexual assault took place in Isabel Clara Eugenia Park, located right next to the center. The suspect was transferred to the Judicial Police’s Minors Unit and brought before the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office. The victim, who was found in shock and bleeding from her privates, was treated by medics and taken to a hospital.

The assaulted minor explained to the officers that she had arranged to meet a friend in the park and that her friend had arrived accompanied by two Moroccans from the migrant center. Her friend is in a relationship with one of them, and both left, leaving the 14-year-old alone with the abuser. The victim explained that the Moroccan sexually assaulted her after dragging her and throwing her to the ground.

The teenager began to scream, and a neighbor from a nearby building came to her aid and called the police. Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the alleged sex offender. The perp, who had been in the center for several months, returned to the center on Friday evening and left again at dawn, climbing over the wall and violating the center’s rules, which prohibit residents from leaving after 10:30 p.m.
