I truly believe that Donald Trump will have a major role in building the Third Temple during his coming presidency… maybe as soon as 2025.

Jewish leaders and the Sanhedrin have already compared Trump to Cyrus the Great, the gentile king who allowed the Jews to rebuild the Second Temple.

They even minted a Temple coin with Trump’s image next to Cyrus.

To them, Trump fits the idea of a “temple builder,” someone helping the Jewish people reclaim their heritage.

But Trump also reminds me a lot of Herod the Great, who expanded and renovated the Second Temple.

Herod didn’t do it because he loved God… he wanted fame, power, and approval.

Trump, being a builder, seems to have similar goals, creating a lasting legacy as the leader who reshaped the Middle East and did something nobody else could.

I believe Herod is a kind of typology of the Beast, a ruler who built/expanded the Temple for selfish reasons and later tried to kill Christ (Matthew 2:16)

The Bible says the Antichrist will do something similar, he’ll use the future Temple to exalt himself and eventually persecute believers who refuse to follow him. (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

Trump’s close ties to Israel, his ambition as a builder, and all the prophetic expectations around him make it seem like he’s perfectly positioned for this.

As Christians, we need to be careful.

It’s something to think about, especially as we watch these events unfold.
