YouTube dropped the hammer on Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for posting a video claiming masks are ineffective in fighting COVID-19.

The doctor has been suspended from YouTube for seven days for saying most over-the-counter masks are ineffective in stopping the transmission of the virus, Newsmax reported.

The Kentucky senator celebrated the social media suspension.

“A badge of honor,” Paul tweeted. “Leftwing cretins at YouTube banning me for 7 days for a video that quotes 2 peer-reviewed articles saying cloth masks don’t work.”

Here’s the video in question:

Here’s Dr. Michael Osterholm on CNN saying exactly the same thing that Dr. Rand Paul just got suspended from YouTube for saying: that cloth masks, as opposed to N95s, provide very, very little protection.
