New Yorkers will now have to show their vaccination papers if they want to eat at a restaurant or attend a Broadway show.
“If you want to participate in society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated,” Mayor Bill de Blasio added.
The Communist mayor says it’s time for people to see vaccination as necessary way of life in free America.
“It’s time for people to see vaccination as necessary to living a good and full and healthy life,” de Blasio said during his daily press briefing. “This is crucial, because we know that this will encourage a lot more vaccination.”
The vaccine order applies to all entertainment, fitness and dining venues.
“It will require vaccination for workers and customers in indoor dining, in indoor fitness facilities, indoor entertainment facilities,” he said. “The only way to patronize these businesses indoors is if you’re vaccinated.”
Murray Burnett wrote Casablanca a Broadway play that eventually became an Academy Award winning movie.
He was inspired by a European vacation he took in 1938. He saw first-hand the rise of Hitler’s fascist regime.
The phrase, “show me your papers” was actually based on his real-life encounters with Nazi officials.
One can only imagine Mr. Burnett’s horror knowing that in modern-day America citizens will have to show their papers just to watch a Broadway show.
Freedom’s light is flickering, my friends.
